Question for the sneaks out there:

If the Devs just plucked Infiltrators arrow right out of the short bow and moved it over to slots 6-9 with NO CHANGES (no cooldown, eats 6 initiative)…

Would you slot it?

Because at this point I’m feeling like being stuck with SB is an option-tax on what most consider to be a more fundamental element of thief gameplay then Steal.

hard to say, would have to drop stun breaks/refuge for it
i don’t mind sb, i also think sb isn’t reason why thief would deserve so many (in)direct nerfs

let’s also assume for a sec that sb doesn’t exist…. what would you use anyway? the way initiative works it is rarely useful ot switch weapons on thief (unlike other professions)

I would probably slot it. Replace it with Shadow Refuge.

As a utility? probably not.

If it simply shared a CD with steal? Totally.

I don’t think I’d give up a button for it, as, I mean, with initiative swaps aren’t all that useful for us anyway. It’s almost a non-cost to take a shortbow.

Be nice to have other options though, like have enough mobility to p/p secondary or something, or swap between MH sword and dagger situationally.
