Infinite Infiltrator's Strike
It does, but posting it on an official forum is slowly attracting attention on it and will eventually fix it.
Yeah lets nerf any skill depth and situational awareness of Sword builds.

there is a lot of skill depth and situation awarness in evade spam xD
if they did fix it, it would be a bug fix and not nerf if anything :P

If you really think D/P Panic strike meta is harder to play than S/D you’re delusional. Some prefer D/P, some S/D, depending on their prefered playstyle, but let’s not forget that D/P already overshines S/D. Not gonna mention how much panic strike gets carried through passive procs.
They could fix it, sure, but then they’ll also have to fix the shadow shot into backstab spam from D/P and the BP into heartseeker port proccing stealth etc. as they’re prolly not intended either, or we just leave things as they are and not completly ruin two weaponsets.
I don’t get the whine here, these weaponsets have some skill depth and knowing these tricks and how to use them is a part of being a skilled player, why do you want to see this being taken away? It’s basically the same with Mesmer GS.

I wouldn’t say it’s skill depth. More like coding limitation or oversight…
Wether intended or not, there’s ‘tricks’ for some weapon sets that add more depth to your own gameplay.
Best shush about it and enjoy it.

Also: Do not forget to tell us player who want a challenge and fun game to LPT.
I no longer laugh at this joke profession.
Why do you think i do not report this joke profession for abusing exploits?
Obviously!
Hacker, Thieves = same people=same thing.
Example; You can not call the police for reporting bad guys if the police are the same bad guys
It do not make sense!
So… go ahead hackers, botters and exploiters
As long nothing serious happen to thieves: you will be ok.
Yes! you can continue to laugh because the joke will always be on us.
Always!

Do you by any chance have any analogies for thieves and palm trees?

That was the most unintelligent and incoherent thing I’ve ever read on here.

“Palm trees grow in tropical climates, along sea shores. They grow in these areas because they are designed to resist/endure fierce tropical storms, such as hurricanes. The flexibility of their trunks allow them to bend with fierce winds without snapping and braking off”.
Thieves grow in critical climates, along trait lines. They grow in these areas because they are designed to resist/endure fierce critical storms., such as bursts.
The flexibility of their creation allow them to counter fierce attacks without risk and exposure

That’s pretty good. Thanks.
Though, this guy had a more philosophical approach to it:
Today i had a very interesting experience that i would like to share especially on this thread.
As i was going about my business, i noticed a landscape company cutting branches from this huge tree that been causing alot of problems..
As i watched them, i stepped in and ask one of the workers, why not just pluck the tree from the ground and problem solved.
His answers will not surprise you, “it is is worth it!, as long we can keep an eye on the branches, it’ll be okay”
So i persisted, ’yea i hear you, but why not just pluck tree, and not worry about coming back over and over again"
He answered, “look this is all we can do, so get over it”
So…….
my question to you..Isn’t this Arena.net ways of not resolving thief Op status with wasted nerfs?
He answered, “look this is all we can do, so get over it”
So…….
Isn’t this the same way Arena.net look at thief class?
Not even close. To the tree trimmer, it is profitable for them to come back several times a year to trim the tree. There is no profit on “trimming” the Thieves because the nerfs we received is similar to “plucking out the tree.”
no
when you pluck out the tree, you pluck their roots
no matter what trimming (nerfs) thieves get, they are still OP?
like the tree branches; they’ll keep growing.
why not just redesign the thief root and start over?
why not just plant a new tree that doesn’t grow to much?
why not just redesign a thief that would not be OP?
wouldn’t that make sense?
wouldn’t you agree?
He had some brilliant, brilliant posts…

Where is anything about panic strike or dp in my post? Or anything about dp vs sd in general?
If you really want my opinion on that (althrough i hate opening that can of worms): d/p and s/d fill bit different roles/playstyle imo, each has it’s place…. as far as post from before, i just found it comical to say there is depth in sd, considering most sd players (at least the ones i faced, besides sizer duhh) just spam evades mindlessly untill they are out of ini/dodges and then die if they face someone with bit more brain… the only issue evade spam does carry those players to certain extend (of course nowhere at levels of old turret engi lol). Certanly, my opinion is biased, but i do think d/p offers more utility and has more multiuses for spells thus higher skill cap/more depth (if we gonna talk about it)… don’t get me wrong, i am not saying that d/p is harder to play, but i think really good player can do a lot more with it than with s/d.
I agree shadow shot into backstab is unintentional and probably should be fixed; not sure what you mean under bp +hs + port combo, if it is what i am thinking, then it is working as intended, imo.
What OP posted is a bug and i am pretty sure is unintentional; you may disagree but no need to flame.

And you’re worrying only because you know it’s an exploit and you don’t want your candy disappeared
If it’s not exploited in spvp then it won’t be fixed, that’s usually how things go anyway. The trick is really only useful for catching people in WvW.

Which seems to be the main source of QQ’s… That is WvW.
Darksyze, if you already “no longer laugh at this joke profession” would you mind to just shush entirely? All I see from you is posts that make absolutely no sense at all, they don’t appeal to reason and they add nothing at all to any of the discussions you posted on.
So do yourself a favour and us a favour and just stop visiting this part of the forums?
I’m sure you could spend your time in a better way.
You got to realize that even if these “bugs and exploits”, or “hacks” even (lol?) were to be removed, we could still do the exact same things but with a minor delay or in a different form, right? Besides, ArenaNet wouldn’t have the slightest benefit in removing these things because of the simple fact that they do add more depth to their game wether it’s intended or not. Otherwise we could also qq about how Eles can swap attunement while channeling and other simple stuff like that.
If you do manage to cook up an opinion or have something useful to add to the discussion(s), then feel free to! Otherwise I’d highly recommend and encourage you to stop making a fool out of yourself.

Actually, I wasn’t even attempting to flame anybody, didn’t know people are so thin skinned in here as I’m used to much worse.
See, you’re just as biased towards S/D as I am towards D/P. I could argue your opinion, but thats not my point and doesn’t lead anywhere. My point is that it would be a bad idea to take something away from a weaponset that is argueably already worse than D/P and obviously has less skill depth/tricks to it. It just dumbs down the weaponset even more and would need some tricks like the shadowshot into backstab to be fixed aswell.
While the use or abuse of these things may not be intentional, they add depth to the game and subsequently make each class harder to master. I dunno about you, but I’d say thats a good thing and therefore I wouldn’t want the Infil spam or shadowshot trick to be nerfed or fixed. They’re good for high level PvP after all.
This has being around for months, got listed in many guides and is used broadly.
I don’t think it will be removed at any moment.
Yeah lets nerf any skill depth and situational awareness of Sword builds.
I’m a S/D thief in PvP, and even I want this to be fixed. Do I like using this trick? Yes. Do I like Engineers using this trick? Hahahahaha no.
