Suppose my only initiative regrn is from the sig that shadow steps to your target and i didnt spec in to trickery to get more initiative. Being s/d is base initiative with base regen okay for fights or do i need more use to only play d/d and didnt have to worry much about it.

As long as you don’t spam #3, you’ll be fine. I currently have 0 in trickery and usually I am out of ini when I switch to bow to get away from zerg. What is your build?

You could pick up +2 ini on stealth from 4 in SA, which serves to cheapen cloak and dagger cost.

Also, with sword 2, you don’t need infil sig much (unless you’re taking it as a concept to your build). Roll for Ini would give you a stun break as well, and I find having a “battery” of 6 ini is more valuable to me than 1 ini per 10 secs.

rfi is 1 per 10 secs also, it comes down to do you want the extra evade or the extra shadowstep. they both provide the same increase to ini (assuming you use rfi on cooldown, if you dont then rfi can be LESS than 1 per 10s)

Yup, and I prefer the “battery” of ini. If you tend to “burst” your ini usage (FS/LS on a Guardian, for example), the “quick recovery” of instant ini is the prefered utility, for me.

edit: I also like to evade backwards on my stunbreaks (because these are usually “OH CRAP!” moments), as opposed to shadowstep forwards (steal+sword2 are enough “forward” movement for me). So it’s all preference, but I feel that RFI is more forgiving for people who are having ini management troubles.

Im thinking of moving the 3 from acro to trickery to grab the extra int..

acro:
vigor on heal/ swift dodge/ more dodge regen

trickery:
some dmg from flanking and extra int…

can’t decide

I wouldn’t go to trickery just for the ini. If you want to grab some of the traits but then I’d go all the way for sleight of hand and dmg multiplier in gm minor.

Stay in acro if you like evasive gameplay, go to trickery for traits, not just ini.
