I am considering slotting this on my P/D thief, but I wonder if the revealed debuff makes it a bit of a waste, i.e. is it always firing when you are revealed?

I suppose it’s hard to say how often, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me anecdotally.

Seems like the skill should say

“if you take damage greater than the threshold you lose revealed (if applicable), throw feathers to blind opponents and gain stealth”

It seems like a silly situation that an ability whose activation is outside your control can be negated due to a pre-exiting condition.

Perhaps just the extra blind is worth it – I would be taking this instead of uncatchable which I find to be lackluster due to the small radius.

Depends on how you use it.

Personally I wouldn’t take this trait in a build that relies heavily on stealth, but I like it in my gc S/D builds, and perhaps vs. thieves if I run P/x cond.

And yeah, like Last Refuge, this trait is working poorly, I somehow have an impression it’s working better than LR though. It can acutally turn the fight in your favor if you get hit by CnD, ride the lightning, warrior hulk abilities and other insert generic spike.

Since people aren’t expecting this trait, it can be really troll.

I really like it against x/D eles, it gets triggered by RtL and blinds their updraft.
And then I go to a safe distance watching them:

It’s also bugged to stack almost a minute of fury and vigor, but don’t let anyone know that.

It has a pretty long internal cooldown, or it sometimes gives vigor and fury rather then feathers. I actually do not mind if they made it do that all the time. Though I’d prefer might over fury.

Edit: Throw Feathers has a 60 second cooldown and when it is on cooldown, triggering Instinctual Response gives 10 seconds of fury and vigor in it’s place.

I never pick this trait since I rather take Thrill of the Crime, but if this is true, that would be awesome.

Hopefully it’s not a bug rather an unspecified feature.

dont take it.

imagine….p/d using sneak attack and you get hit for a 10% of your hp (pretty common on thief). Instinctual response goes off as you are finishing your sneak attack and you get revealed 4 secs….ouch…. especially common if u use ricochet like me to spread dmg/tag/bleeds. dont use it!
