Is Death Blossom bad for PVP?
Death Blossom isn’t bad, but it requires a very different build. Thieves speccing condition damage can focus on more defensive traits and have a -lot- of dodging on top of decent damage. There are two problems with this though.
The first problem is that while this “bunker” thief builds can outlast many opponents to win in the long run, it takes them time. And unlike other classes that play bunker, thieves go into stealth and move around a lot, which makes holding a point in PvP hard… The problem with that is that holding a point is what bunkers are supposed to do.
The second problem is you will come across some enemy specs that you won’t be able to do much against. Heavy bunker guardians can be taken down but that takes a lot of time if they have condition removals, and you’ll take a lot of damage from their retaliation since both death blossom and sneak attack are multi-hits. Elementalists with the right spec can remove your bleeds from them almost constantly.
If you do go for condition spec remember to also carry P/D as alt weapon, I find switching between the two sets to fit the situation is key for survival.
So no it’s not bad for PvP, but it isn’t one of the best specs to go either.
