The nerf in the new patch forced me to try and rework the way i play the thief and i would like to know how you guys have handeled the patch yourself

This is a really well-made video. Did you change your build at all after the patch? I noticed that you don’t have 30 pts in Shadow Arts, as is popular with a lot of players now.

I dropped the haste trait from my S/D set due to the haste nerf. Mostly I’ve been subbing in blinds and evades to cover for the extra time out of stealth.

I did change my build after the patch and changed my playstyle. before i used 0.30.30.10.0 with speed in stealth now i changed for the more agressive build in the video with Mug. There is one clip in there where i still use my old build ( the one at the camp) but i prefer to be more agressive

hehe yeh :P the build is pretty standard i think besides the fact i use cond remocal trait and mug its more the playstyle post patch

I noticed you discussed a heartseeker/steal combo. I just wanted to point out to folks watching your video that you can do something very similar with backstab. Backstab takes 1/4 second to cast. As long as you cast it in stealth before it lands it will still be considered a backstab, regardless if you’re stealthed or not. So, a really powerful combo is a backstab/steal combo when you’re a bit away from your enemy.

For example, if you’re stealthed, hit your backstab (even if you’re 500 units away from your target) and immediately hit steal. With Mug, this becomes a nasty combo which could easily do around 14k damage to your target despite the fact you were not right next to them.

Thats true unfortunatly i didnt have a clip where i use that trick, it obviusly required stealth to use but its very effective thanks for sharing

i also want to note that using Steal in midair combined with heartseaker effectively increases the range of the combo

Nice display Ninja, love the shortbow jukes. I was leaning toward what looked like a 10/30/30, you just stealth a lot less than a lot of that build I see. Nice job.

Thanks! Would be nice if someone could confirm for me. I am still using a rare as well and I just got my Super Backpack Cover so I’d like to wear it!

i try not to rely as much on stealth as i was use to in the last patch, its normaly just as good just to get out of the way and strike when the time is right

kitten your right! my bad guys! the date has been changed in my folder because i was fooling around with the clip :S awe… i feel stupid now

It has been noted in the video now that the clip is pre patch, again sorry my bad ^^
