Turns out if you enter shadow refuge and have to dodge roll to save yourself from AOE, you drop out and gain revealed.

Oh boy…

Not the last time i used them.

Just tried this a few minutes ago.

The weird part was that while I was still inside shadow refuge, it seemed to be working fine.

I’m an avid p/d thief who uses both caltrops on dodge and the caltrops utility. This has never happened to me. I was roaming just a couple ours ago and never experienced any reveal using caltrops.

Just for you, i’ll log on and test.

EDIT: just tested, caltrops doesn’t reveal if you’re in stealth.

Maybe you accidentally rolled out of the Refuge and thus gained revealed? When you leave Refuge early you gain revealed, it’s part of the skill. If you stay inside the whole time you remain in stealth.

Test it again in the Mists with the golems, it is working the same as it always has (you do not drop stealth since Caltrops don’t do direct damage, only apply bleeding).
