Guild Wars 2

I wasn’t going to post it but there’s probably some things people can learn from watching this video. Magic Toker (“Florida Boy Dustin”) was looking for duels in my dueling server and after a heated conversation, He invited to his private arena for some mirror duels.
Video is uncut from start to finish and runs for slightly over 30 minutes.

Basically like the video description says:

Some late night sleep deprivation mirror SD 20066 duels against Toker.

Personal observations from the fights:

Toker’s Strengths:
-Map knowledge (LOS)
-Experience and knowledge of class
-Stealing between evade frames
-Cooldowns

Weaknesses:
-Evasion mechanics
-Usually uses steal right after acquired

My own Strengths:
-Mechanics
-Stealing between evade frames
-Dodging steal attempts
-Prediction (Intuition)
-Experience and knowledge of class
-Cooldowns

Weaknesses:
-Map LOS
-Overconfident at times

Points in the video:

At around 4:30, toker notices he had been running 2/6/0/0/6 and switches to 2/0/0/6/6. From approximately 4:39 onwards, duels in the same build occur.

It was fun and good practise and I would do more if he asks. Don’t be shy about commenting and constructive discussion. Hope I don’t offend him by uploading it ^^

No, It seems that Toker was only accidentally on 26006 switches to 20066 quickly after around 4 minutes and 30 seconds as kronos pointed out in his post (Look at the swiftness and might from dodging)

Pretty much this. I didn’t see Toker use SB that much which really hurt him.

I wasn’t going to post it but I’ve been trying to lose my reputation of running full soldiers in WvW and wanted some notoriety from dueling a “famous” thief who’s better in team fights than duels on an old meta spec so people can learn from something that’s already not good enough to compete and speculated to be even worse in a few months.

Obviously this format worked the last time with Caed. I wonder if lettuce will appear in round 2!

If you know Toker, he been running 2/0/06/6 for a while. So yeah…you’re post is pointless.

If you knew how to read/comprehend/knew anything, you’d know that A.) Toker hasn’t played that spec in months due to the current meta and B.) I wasn’t implying that he doesnt know the spec, but that the spec is borderline useless and rumored to be even weaker after HoT is released with the traitline changes. And C.) This is a post fishing for compliments over the most irrelevant chance driven encounters that hold no weight in practically every facet of the game.

How anyone can consider this playstyle enjoyable is beyond me

This post embodies everything that I love about the stereotypical thief personality. Just two thieves:

• rng-ing themselves to death in a made up game mode
• playing mirror builds because that’s somehow a better differentiator of skill
• making passive aggressive observations about the other’s play

Best of all, it’s all done on top of the truckload of salt that is copy-pasting a prior post’s template that did the exact same thing. OP’s post is a work of art.

yeah because kronos couldn’t have been mocking caed right? also i’d say playing mirror spec on the class they are best at is the best “differentiator” of skill

I play sword just fine (just dont prefer it) and did so in GvG for over a year with a guild that beat the best NA/EU. Since when is S/D the threshold for which we gauge skill?

It took kronos 45 minutes and a change in rules that removed virtually every defensive capability I had running P/D to beat me on a god awful spec that I fought Nex on for over an hour and was handed a victory because of how useless it was. And of course it was his patented Soldiers D/P that has zero intent of doing damage, but simply outlasting the opponent until they give up or make a mistake. But thanks for thinking that made up game modes and a fight that occurred over a year ago holds any merit.

But by your own logic I should see you talking about how the night before the tournament I won 3-0 in sanctum on mirror d/p SA so badly that Snuffles and Co. even berated him.

I chuckled: You played SD in WvW to beat the best WvWers NA/EU! What an achievement!

Last time I checked, it was harder to fight carrion condi with PVT than with the PvP Berserker’s amulet.

We don’t need to wait for you to admit it because you probably won’t: Everyone who watched back then can tell that the only reason you’d have popped out of nowhere to reply to OP’s thread is that you’re kittenhurt. Starting from all the OS duels leading up to the tournament, evidently so because that duel in OS you talk about went the other way around.

I’d obviously like to know if you have anything positive to contribute but otherwise, go back to the WVW forums. You seem to think GvGs make you an actual good player, but the truth is that your understanding of the game is frankly limited in the extreme and you are entertaining yourselves with a fantasy rulebook that’s made entirely of your own doing. It has no sanction or approval from the devs. Just grow up already.
