Leeching Venoms in Shadow Atrs?
Venom traits have always been part of SA for some reason, and my guess is that they’ve stayed there because Anet designers envision SA as a team support traitline (before you had to trait to share venoms).
Personally I say to heck with that. Leeching Venom’s should be put into Revealed Training’s spot, the Might-generating in stealth trait brought back in the open SA spot, and Merciful Ambush swapped with Shadow’s Embrace to make Shadow Arts great again.
yes this trait composition is holding on to way earlier concepts of anets thief and are no qualified use for any kind of playstyle this way. with the progression of other classes, thieves rely more and more on their anyway poor defensives (bandits defense, shadowstep, bp, agility signet, …) leaving no room for effective use of venoms.
with this as a fact, theres no big attention to those traits sides devs i guess.
Should have been moved to DA and swapped with Revealed Training. Neither RT or LV make sense in their current placement.

ye the venoms functionality is so bad, even if leeching venoms would be in DA u couldnt use one excpept basilisk in competitive play. the (oh so bad) condition thieves rely as i said above on defensive utilties as well, may leaving room for one single venom in profession skills but impairing daggers will always be the better option compared to any venom. so to me this is just a piece of bad work.

works fine if u just want loot bags in WvW, share when blob groups up move around a little on every share so more random people get a share once the groups go head to head u easily get enough condi dmg done for bags meanwhile u just spam poison on the ground with shortbow.
effective as in killing? nope, does it get u easy a good amount of bags? Yup.
Venoms can be loaded onto any attack. That makes them quite a bit different from ID. Venoms are also more single target spike damage than good AoE, although you are right about WvW bags.

The instacast is def nice. . . offers wider flexibility than ID imo (i.e. having the option to spread damage or focus, or popping them mid-attack when it seems most effective). Also, in point of fact, I am usually carrying three venoms including basi, not a handful of def utilities. Rely more on positioning and evasion for defense than anything else.
