It’s sad that 50% of this thread is AC knockoffs.

It always amazes me that in a game with so much customization, most people just end up pretending to be something they can be in another game.

CoH also had this problem, you could make any hero you could imagine, and most people just made Superman clones, it shows a deep lack of creativity in society as a whole.

For those of you doing very unique, interesting characters, kudos!

hehe. Im actually tempted to get the human cultural T3 gloves just because they have a wrist switchblade, but its on the outside instead of inside, what do you think? my pic is on page 3

I tried the t3 gloves and don’t like it personally, I like the blades and wrist part but the gloves look out of of place

And I don’t really see having fun with customization “sad”, you take it way too seriously, most people do the look just because they can, to see how closely you can get to the original look, and it’s for a laugh, nobody pretends they’re Altair or they’re playing AC. I know I certainly don’t, it’s a temp look to play around and have fun with while I think of other sets to put together.

Being Sylvari I really want to get a leafy set. I’m going to go for the Twilight Arbor set. My glow is really close to the orange on the armor, I’ll dye some of it blue instead of orange to match my hair.

This is my current looks until I get my awesome armor!

Actually 99.9999999% of players in this game are still using a template from another medium, even if it is subconsciously (most of the time it isn’t) that is just the TV and subliminal world we live in.
Your tantrum complaint is just like calling all the kids that dress up on Halloween “posers” because they are ALL dressed like some character. Did it ever occur to you that making our thief look like Altair, Enzio, or Connor etc is actually our way of flattering Ubi and the design team of those games. If you are going to complain about that kind of flattery, then I feel bad for you.

So I saw this on DA and couldn’t help myself, time to go Zelda’s Creed :P Though tbh one of the Light armor hood skin would look much better, there’s no decent hoods with leather what is this blasphemy.The guild’s emblem can rock the Tri-force while i take SS >.> no power abuse at all.

Rawnt the Charr Theif doin’ his Theif thing on Lord Beetletun’s statue. Oh and some guardian is there too.

My thief, yeah Duelist is my favorite set too, and I love the hood, but I was trying for a mix of knightly looks to go with my Assassins Creed.

Also, White/Black/Gold are Kormir colors, so he’s representing his goddess

A slight color change (Royal Blue/Mithril). Still reppin’ the monocle and the Leather Armor skin (everything else is too revealing on a female character).

I’ve managed to upgrade my thief with the armor set from the HotW from the neck down. I used abyss, autumn, and antique gold dyes on this set.

Here is my thief. I may be walking in the darkness but I never lose sight on the light that guide my path.

Thankfully, I already own all of the parts except for the jacket, I’m going to have to run AC a few times before I can buy that :P

I’m going for a fairly classic rogue look I guess. And this is honestly one of the first MMO’s I’ve played where you can make a decent looking rogue.

I was making a general observation about the level of creativity that players in general display, not anyone specifically. Why the personal attack? That’s just uncalled for. In fact, looking at most of your recent posts, you’ve been on a trolling spree lately, what’s up with that?

I’m completely with you on this. There is definitely a general lack of originality displayed by people who play games with a high level of customization. Which is really sad actually, especially considering ALL of the options available. It’s really not for laughs either, as a poster above stated, evidenced by those individuals hastily jumping to defend their choices. I can understand if any specific look appeals to the masses, but that doesn’t make it any less sad that they lack the creativity to create something that looks unique and stands out.

Props to InterestingJohn and the other individuals who want to go outside the box with their looks! I, for one, am seeing more and more originality these days. Not to mention that 99% of the remaining AC knockoffs are pretty bad looking, especially with those over-sized shoulder pads =X
