The true black dye is called Abyss.

Rarest dye out there for obvious reasons. Sells about 4g on the TP.

I was lucky and found one on my Thief followed a few minutes later by ‘Evening Red’

I will have to try and snag a pic when home. She is way hotter than these pics … well maybe except the Charr

As Maurier.6094 said, true, deep black is Abyss, there’s also a “Black” dye, it’s slightly cheaper on the Trading Post (between 2 and 3 gold).

I’m currently using “Midnight Ice” on my pants and boots and it’s pretty much black. It’s not as rare either

Where did you find this set of Armor!?

I really hate the severe lack of armors that don’t have skirts or coats to them. I almost didn’t keep at my Thief because of it: Only three armors out of the -entire medium armor selection- lack a skirt or coat (Duelist, Human T3, Krytan gem shop).

I’m not a cowboy, I’m not a pirate, I’m a dang Thief. Coats are detrimental.

You think that’s bad, try finding a set that actually looks good on Charr.

Anet was lazy about modeling armor for every race but human. They just took the human versions and stretched them over the Charr frame. Clipping issues all over the place most notably the tail clips through almost every set.

idk which one you’re talking about in particular, but i got the lvl 80 karma shoulders, duelist coat, duelist gloves, duelist leggings, and whispers boots.. and of course i saved my lvl 1 hood lol… duelist stuff was from trading post for like 70 silv each

seems like the duelist stuff, thought it looked different

ah k, it is the duelist set, sorry have to cut in on your style there, but it’s one of the few armor sets that actually looks good on charr.

I need a better coat…
