Bugs

Trickster affects Flanking Strikes twice (0.2×60=12. Cooldown is 36s instead of 48s).
tracking fix
Practiced Tolerance does not give additional ferocity for temporary stat boosts (Signet of Agility, Banner of Discipline).
Should only be base stats
Flanking Strikes does not get reset with Improvisation (Haste is a trick).
Withdraw does not currently give the 10% healing promised from patch notes.

Fury granted by a Thief with No Quarter to allies causes them to gain the additional 250 ferocity as well (I think this should stay, adds to the incentive of playing high risk/high reward and makes the choice between Thrill of the Crime and Flanking Strikes more difficult while adding synergy between traits. Only works with Thrill of the Crime (not Pack Runes)

Need clarification Trickster does not clear before healing (if Trickster removes poison it heals the reduced amount before clearing the condition). Is this intended?
When a downed body is knocked out of refuge, it does not reveal.
Warrior Steal (Whirling Axe) cannot be dodged out of. It will eat the endurance but not give evade frames.
Shadow Trap doesn’t give the 8 Vulnerability stacks from the tool-tip (it does still give 5 traited but should give 13 when traited and 8 without the trait). Was tested with both Shadow Pursuit (when the trap is triggered) and Destroy Shadow Trap.
Balance issues

Thief has almost always been a mandatory pick because of their unrivaled mobility and the uncounterable stealth plays the class allows. This means that every competitive team is always going to be forced to have a thief and that the thieves performance can almost control the entire matchup of the game. As an example, if a thief severely outplays the other thief it’s going to have a much larger impact than any cele class outplaying each other and there isn’t much the team can do to stop this from happening.
Opinion.
With the increased duration of stealth for SA stealth has become even more of an issue in competitive play.
Also opinion. SA is somewhat useless in the majority of situations. <- Also opinion.
Ideas/Proposals

Make Trickster baseline. This would relieve some of the split between utility and defense that other classes don’t have to choose between.
Give Thief the promised 10% increased healing from withdraw.
Let Thrill of the Crime continue to grant allies the additional 250 ferocity from No Quarter. This makes it so it is a harder choice between more teamplay and solo play. (Ferocity increase to allies while taking crit strikes, or quickness for yourself only)
Introduce more counterplay (reveal effects) in order to combat rotations/opens using shadow refuge or stealth blasts.
Add back reveal on backstab – regardless of if you hit it or not.
Revealed should be on AoE, not passive (let us play battleship).

What is all this “add revealed to more things”? Are they trying to make revealed as common as a condition and what is this “SA is impairing competitive play”?? How recent are those?

Edit: We should not take this seriously it doesn’t seem reliable.

Hard to say if it reliable or not. Could be like that Reddit thing that proved false but people elsewhere think it legit. That stuff add reveal to more things and stealth lacks counterplay I had missed at first as I went right to the thief stuff. Yes that makes it a bit suspicious as I can not believe this being considered. (and it seems contradicted in the mesmer section where it suggested the long stealth of mesmers not an issue)

So yeah a couple of grains of salt in order.

Let me clarify:

Since the 6/23 release, dozens upon dozens of players have sent me bugs, exploits, suggestions – etc. This particular group of players decided to put their feedback into a document that they could all edit and then shoot over to me to take a look at. It has been particularly helpful in for nailing down a number of balance affecting bugs, similar to the comprehensive lists that have popped up in a number of the profession forums.

So, to be very clear: this list is neither written nor maintained by myself or anyone else at ArenaNet. It is a list of issues (bugs and balance) that players would like to see addressed.

So people still think there no counterplay to stealth Why am I not suprised ?

Yes it makes more sense this player driven , that said it still a good collection of bugs.
