Guild Wars 2

Hey guys;

I would like to play a ranged thief build in SPVP/WvW. I think i would like to use p/p+ p/d(p/d provides shadowstep away and stealth). Is there any viable build for those weapons?

I like playing rangeds DPS’s in MMO. My Main is a power Ranger, but i would like to try another professions. p/p + SB build wouldnt be bad too. If u guys have some strong ranged build for thief or any tips pls feel free to say^^

Thieves aren’t really well known for ranged builds. P/P isn’t considered a viable set, and even if there is a strong SB build, it’s only useful within 1v1 duels.

However, full dire p/d is a very strong (and super cheesy) build. Traits are 20606. Despite it being ranged, there are times where you will want to draw in close to the enemy to increase dps, before shadowstepping away.

I run full zerker p/p build. Although my swap set is d/p

Run almost all wvw. I run 0/6/4/0/4 build. folks say p/p is not viable, but I really enjoy it. No issues and with ricochet trait, getting bags in zerg fights is really easy.

solo is not that bad either. Not dedicated roamer mind you. But as a thief, I can test the water and if the other roamer is hard core, I just skip out.

I have fun playing it, and that is all that matters, to me.

It actually worked surprisingly well. You can get off several unloads which deals a good amount of damage and if there is too much pressure you have plenty of escape potential from your utilities and stealth.

Where are you getting the 25 might stacks from?

I assume he’s getting the might from going into stealth due to the Hidden Assassin minor trait in the Shadow Arts line. You will probably get at most 8-10 might stacks from that trait and Shadow Refuge.

Man kids these days need to learn how to READ AND COMPREHEND…. SIGNETS, ROLLS, STEALTH, STEALS, SIGILS, and 100 other ways us… eh sorry MY THIEF self buffs.
