So in regards to Mesmer burst, I just have a suggestion that can be discussed and will be open for feedback

So currently mesmers have a trait that allows err.. I can’t remember i think 30% extra damage to foes not using a skill, and basically when caught off guard, or interrupted/stunned(not able to use skills) you can get 1 shot bursted.

So my suggestion to tone down this incredible burst that Mesmers have right now, would simply be, do what you did to Thieve’s “Mug” Trait, don’t let the trait Crit, Other wise give us back Crit on Mug(steal).

I would even go as far as not letting mind wrack Crit, but that’s me personally

Also if this trait is adept, or base, then feel free to tell me.

it is combination of things

the main offender is actually confounding suggestion in combination with mantra of distraction which turns dazes into stuns, basically making landing any burst absurdly easy

i think if CS got nerfed or got moved to other trait line so one build couldn’t have all the best stuff together then mesmers would be managable

won’t happen though, not untill tourneys are over~

thank you so much for posting this. I have been insta-killed “1-shot” burst by mes so many times since the patch and it is clearly OP, but I never heard anyone talk about it so I thought maybe it was just me and I was missing something.

Just yesterday fighting as a Marauder Guard, I gave chase to finish off a fleeing Mes who had about 5% health, mine was about 67%. The next thing I know some off-screen illusions come from behind me and burst me into downed state. That was an effortless, no-risk 10k burst for the mes. Mes stealthed and hid, replenished health, then stomped. Now I’ve only started playing as a guard in PvP a few days ago, but that same kind of scenario has happened fighting as several different professions, ones that I am good at and would pre-patch only lose to Mesmers who were very good themselves. Now I see any mes on a point and I run if I don’t have full health.

Before the patch, mes were already able to kite from a safe distance, create clones, do high burst damage, and even had access to stealth. They were already pretty balanced. Who thought doubling their stealth and granting them 30% damage boost wouldn’t be extremely OP, let alone even necessary?

I think anet just forget , to put some life on thief to give a chance to fight with this bad players with mantras and 4, 2 ,3 skills on gs mesmers. Another point the mesmers can’t be burst by thief , they have 21k health and got the mirror to make him invunerable , a thief on backstab on Mes , can get 12k , but thief is a half life of them , they gonna entrar in stealth and kill i a HK , so he need so fix this , for not only thief and others class to , i see one mesmer kill to guards wiht soldier gear on 1 shot ^^

Get ur facts straight before posting everything bonus 30% applys only to mind wrack the F1 skill making it not crit means taking this trait will decrease dmg lol
