Why does an editor need to be a good player?

You just need to know whats good to make a page about it, you can know whats good and still be terrible, like me.

Video was nothing impressive. First fight, you guildie had the advantage from the start with double improv F2 stealth, got the opener, then it snowballed. Second fight, he was 98 hp from down before withdraw so very lucky there. Maybe you should posts your builds on metabattle. As for the premise, people don’t need to be “good” to posts good builds. Some people are better teacher/coaches than players.

So it seems you think that Gun Squad guys are good, and you felt the need for proving that in the forums. I haven’t heard about that particular guild, or their builds ( I like using my own builds) but why bother? If you desire, edit builds on Metabattle, create a new website etc. But this seems so bothersome.

All I see here is a typical d/p thief spamming bound. Very skillful play right there, nearly as skillful or face roll as d/d condi #3 spam.

I see three thieves in this video that aren’t very good. 1 that can’t land a burst (1st thief you fought), 1 that has no idea how to properly escape (2nd thief you fought), and 1 that doesn’t seem to be able to play without using the two most broken dueling traits the thief has and thinks they are some sort of god for it (sorry but that’d be you).

1) Metabattle builds are rated, so it doesn’t really matter who edits them since the ratings will show if it is a good build or not.

2) A member of a guild is not a representative of the skill level of the whole guild since the members of a guild. like Teef for example. ranges from new players to very good players.

So if they stole your builds, are the current thief builds on there yours? If not can you post a solid sword/dagger build? I feel like I’m closing in on what I need but I still like to change it up along the way.

You can’t really claim a build to be yours. Sooner or later someone else will come up with the same build given the limited diversity the Thief have. If you really like the build that much, then make it your signature. No one will edit it then.

Agreed. It just seems like he’s upset because they didn’t accept his build on metabattle, so QQ “hunts” them down. (Their method of hunting is basically just get the largest group of zerk thieves they can and gank a single target, then jump/laugh on bodies.)

You can be on the forefront of innovating and min-maxing, but truth be told, others will probably run what you’re running, either from figuring it out for themselves or talking to someone else who did.

I claim myself as a thief who’s been on the forefront of signet D/D since 2012, but to claim ownership of the build is kinda ridiculous seeing as ANet made the synergy and Yski was much more vocal about promoting it and also figured out effective ways to play it early on.

Tbh, the first duel had a good moment when you stabbed the guy during his stealth with BP, but on the converse, he was kinda dumb to try and repeatedly stealth with it in a duel against another already-stealthed thief. Shadow Shot carried your engage and pressure because you got juked really, really bad throughout.

i was in a guild that for rank 1 spvper that was best guild na XD when you could not change your finsher so everyone in guild run bunny finsher in wvw

Also, just because yuu killed one GS guy does not mean all GS guys are crap. that one play could be crap as a thief, but maybe he’s really good at warrior, or revenant. Also like has been mentioned many times yu don’t have to be a great player to know what a good build is. being good is about reaction times and timing, knowing a good build is all intellectual. Hell, i’m no where near the best warrior out there, but most people on the warrior forum trust me to know what i’m talking about.
