My enjoyment in playing theif has been killed
I play my dual pistol thief as a scout in WvW. I can go hours without a kill. Kiting a zerg with Richochet and Dagger Storm was pretty much the only way I got lootbags. P/P seems pointless now…in fact, combat feels pointless. Worse still is that I seem to have fewer defences than ever. Normaly I can get away from a lost battle but not any more. I honestly don’t know if I can be kitten d with WvW now. It’s all very well talking about adapting, but when a good chunk of what you’ve relied on for 2 years goes kittens up, it makes you wonder if it’s worth the bother.

Yep it pretty hard to kite. Right now i go with just raw power and try to down them quick with p/p. I also miss the might on dodge and the longer swiftness due just to having more dodges and boon duration.
I am thinking that If i go back to the kite style I might have to go runes of Adventurer along with energy sigils and hard to catch. Then use that endurance food in a 0/6/0/6/6 build. That said having no vitality of boon duration hurts from that kite build as well.
Well, a successful dodge gives you vigor now for 2 seconds which brings your endurance regen back up to 8.75 including endless stamina. Considering that base regen is 5, that gives us a difference of 3.75 per second over base, so 2 seconds of it is a total endurance benefit of 7.5. Literally half the benefit it was before in top of the fact that it doesn’t stack with vigor anymore.
I think the real problem is that they nerfed vigor and FG in a vacuum, so the nerf compounded. If we had the old vigor rate and endless stamina, 2 seconds of vigor at a rate of 12.5 endurance per second qould be a benefit of 7.5 per second over base regen, equaling a total of 15 back. (What a familiar number!!!) So I think they were trying to eliminate how FG stacked with vigor and then had the vigor nerf sprung on them and the result compounded the nerf.

Not only did they nerf vigor and FG in a vacuum , the loss of boon duration was not factored into the vigor changes. This also why swiftness on dodge no longer what it was. One can not dodge as much PLUS boon durations lost.
