Hello. I am new to thief in WvW. Was itching to try it out there. I need some advice though. I want to run a power build, d/p+sb probably. What are the important things I should look after? I am thinking of taking marauder gear on most of my armor/trinkets/weapons to reach some health. What trait lines are worthwhile? Any tips? Thanks.

Learn some fast combos and how to use the Stolen abilities.
Learn when and how to attack.
Try to learn some skills of each class so you won’t be surprised when you face a different foe.
Don’t be greedy, if you can’t kill your enemy in 5-6 seconds, fall back and regenerate some initiative.
You are free to hate Dragonkitteners.
Terissimo – imo – is a top tier player. You can watch her videos. She explains almost everything when fighting against a specific class.

It is also wise to lean and study all other classes too so you know what to avoid and know when and how to engage a fight. Most thievs fail and hide behind dash because of its 450 range it puts you out of most harms way and not really know what they actually dodged.

This is the single most important thing to know as a thief. If you don’t understand your enemy, you’re going to not do as well as anything else would have otherwise done.

There’s sort of videos are suited for more experienced theif players though not fresh thievs, I mean sure it’s great to see thief game play and you could pick up on some tricks but I would assume that the new thief players won’t be able to keep up with what is actually going on.

Best thing to do is roll a thief (using meta build) in pvp and get your but kicked and learn from there on, refer to videos and forums for advice but you can only learn so much just by reading and watching vidoes.
