Guild Wars 2

So im recently getting back in to the game and i rolled Thief. Im wondering if anyone is able to help me on the different builds and what is best for pvp/pve

Currently i use p/d s/d and d/d (d/d being my fav for some reason)

Im interested in pvp mainly and roaming in wvw i guess so what excels the most?

Plenty of information all of which is still mostly relevant

S/D and D/P with shortbow off set are meta.
