So…Staff Thief anyone?

What do you think? Any ideas for what could be done with each weapon?

Naturally I would say Sword off-hand would be a start, with a swashbuckler style, and Staff could become a martial weapon (top-weighted martial style).

I can not invent some utility skill. Among thieves, and so everything is there. Maybe some trick utility to control the masses, such as powder to put to sleep for 2 seconds stun.

Mace + ini mechanics = never
Whip to beat cowcharr :/

Offhand sword and one-handed crossbow – ok

Likely:
Off hand sword(parry, daze),
Rifle (power based ranged weap, allowing P/P to be adjusted for condition)

Do want:
Melee Staff (AoE and defensive, should work “like” a Warrior Hammer as in not the best aoe damage but gives survival and let em join the fray, should be to our Sword what Hammer is to warrior Greatsword),
Off hand torch (Burning and tricks)

Legendary armor and ascended gear/weapons. Yay more farming!
I do hope that thieves first get all the weapon sets to become viable before giving us new traits..

Even if that happens, thieves will only get bladed weapons. At most the mace and that’s it. Maybe the Rifle (sniper assassination) but it might come across as very similar to Warrior’s rifle.

Axe and offhand sword are the biggest possibilities.

It isn’t a fetish more so than an addiction. If you understand how much power a Zweihander can deal out in real life, you’de be addicted too.

And yes I would like greatswords for my thief.

also unusable in real life :P i have a few swords….5160 spring steel that can be bent at a 90 degree angle and basically unbreakable. check it out www.zombietools.net have 2 from that and 1 expensive kitten katana. guns are more my thing tho. anyway babbling here.

I would also like greatswords for Thief. I don’t care how strange it seems superficially… I want it. And then I want to get the… no wait, kitten it; if they give all weapons to every class, I’m turning my Engineer into my main so I can rock the Greatsaw on HIM.

They were wieldy but not unusable. The purpose is to destroy shields and snap weapons in half. The momentum from the 2h would cleave things in half otherwise. Like any weapon though it takes practice. I have tried using one. Although the one I use was made out of titanium and it was very light so momentum wasn’t as great. I still wish I had $1k so I could have gotten it. T~T

so i hear a lot of suggestions about weapons but NONE of these have been ranged. what do u guys think about ranged weapons?

throwing daggers: (each hand)

1)ACE SHOT: Automatic crit. 33% more dmg if target is not moving. (auto attack at the same speed as pistol wh ich is kinda slow :P)
2)SERRATED BLADES: 3 daggers thrown one after another causing 2 stacks of bleeding for 3 seconds and 2 seconds of crippling each. (4 init at sneak attack speed)
3)EYE & TOE: Dual attack that blinds for for 5 seconds and immobilizes for 1 second while you dodge roll back for a 1/2 second evade.(4 init at extreme speed like other dual skills)
4)RIGGED BLADES: Throw 1 dagger and bounces between up to 3 foes and dazes them for 1 second if they are using a heal skill. If this dagger hits 3 DIFFERENT foes they are each immobilized for 1 second each. (5 init @ dancing dagger speed)
5)TWISTED FANG: strike foe for high dmg and invis if you are at least 400 range or more away. Causes 1.5 seconds of immobilization if foe was using a skill. (6 init at the speed of dancing dagger which is medium speed)

Stealth attack:

1) BLACK LOTUS BLADE: Throw a blade with a wire attached at foe and pulls you towards them as you finish with a critical backstab (only 100%…not double) that causes 1 of the following: Stun, Daze, Immob, or knockdown for .5 seconds.

figure it has conditions…lil power….but most of all the famous 1 v 1 control.
