Hey guys…

i have taken a break from GW2 for the past…well, sincer HoT launched actually…i was kinda dissapointed with how the Thief class turned out to be in HoT…

anyway now with this update, from what i can see, it’s something of an improvement.

have the builds changed a lot?

Is Daredevial viable now? Is there a good build for PvE (Raids)?

Have you tried experimenting yourself? Or do you generally prefer everyone else doing the work for you?

i was just asking if someone knew a good Raid build…some sort of meta, kinda hard to experiment during Raids….don’t you think?…

When Staff gets the buffs it’s supposed to (patch details them but they’re not in-game), it’ll be by far the best for raids.

Deadly Arts 2-x-3
Critical Strikes 3-2-1
Daredevil 1-1-3

Berserker/Scholar, Staff w/ Force + Air or Accuracy

Channeled Vigor, Fist Flurry, Assassin + Agility Signets, Impact Strike

Keep the Bound bonus up active as much as possible, use Weakening Charge/Vault combos unless you have Quickness, in which case use some more autoattacks (WC + Vault aren’t affected by Quickness). Use Fist Flurry + Palm Strike on cooldown for DPS increase + CC. Not much else to it, really.

Personally, I’d want to test a build in the environment it was designed for.

That’s great and all, except most parties will boot a thief on sight for raids.

So now hope for my thief to get into a raid, even after this patch?… should i just learn to play with a revenant now?

I think there is a decent chance to get into Meta. Thief-Tank-DPS could be quite interesting, since it is the highes damage Tank. Have a look at metabattle.com. Thief got upgraded to “Great” within hours. At least it is not “No-Go” anymore
