Just hit 80.. want to do WvW.. I have Zerker gear, and valk Trinkets. Zerker d/d

what build should i use to pick off people the fastest way possible that are out of there main blobs?

Yski posted this vid w/ build yesterday, personally I wouldn’t play it but looks like fun
for bursting down people quickly with D/D.

Otherwise, the classical x/30/30/x/x might be the build for you.

example.
CS: Fury, Prec to Vitality, Hidden killer.
SA: 2 ini on stealth, blind or cond removal, shadow rejuven.
10 for whatever you want or need.

For now i just made my own build with 10/20/30/0/10, for mug and thrill of the crime.

Best direct damage build for wvw is d/p with 0/30/30/10/0 IMO.

High mobility, high dps with sustain.

Nothing like a good ol’ bask venom to detroy a pesky d/p thief. Honestly, CC’s destroy glass d/p thieves.

I run several variations of my chasing build when I’m zerg chasing. I generally swap between celestial and zerker gear depending on the situation (be sure to run p/d offhand when running celestial to fully benefit from the gear set). If you’re roaming solo, just run zerker with shortbow offhand and you shouldn’t experience too many issues. The build itself is hard to master being a no-stealth s/p regen build, but it’s fun as hell when you get the hang of things. It’s all about chasing a zerg’s tail, locking down and killing stragglers. You can easily cover a 6k distance in less than 5 seconds and using your dodges and heal right can maintain perma swiftness.

Perhaps the build is too hard for you to master just yet, being new to thief and all, but I’ll leave it here.

That’s an opinion.

There’s nothing wrong with taking an effective build into WvW. That’s my opinion of course. Disclaimer: I’m P/D. If I run into a competent D/P, I’m usually trying to get away from them in one piece.

D/D 0|30|30|10|0, is very reliable and effective, might not be ran as much as d/p but is just as effective atleast. the thing is d/d usally require you to be a bit more competent in the fight.

7800 hours ingame, and counting.
