Guild Wars 2

Hi guys, im new to GW2 and i want to play thieve. As i read the forum i notice theres alot of SD DP etc, can anyone tell me what the short form stands for? And for thieve can anyone tell me what main weapon should i use and the builds for it? Im looking at high damage thieve btw. I hope experienced players can share the knowledge with me in details, like the skills and all the signil or w/e the spelling. THANKS! (:

and also things like DD, im feeling really lost now. someone please enlighten me thanks!

They refer to weapon sets. S/D is a Sword in the mainhand, and a dagger in the offhand, and D/D is dual wielding daggers.

S = Sword
D = Dagger
P = Pistol
SB = Shortbow

By “High Damage Thieves” I’ll assume you mean high burst, so D/D or D/P would be best.
