New use for traps!
You can preload anything with a cast and steal to it. Players been doing this with CnD since launch.

It’s pretty good, yes.
If you want a kick, run trapper runes for free backstab and improv for free resets. might on trap/vuln on trap makes knockdown cd sync with every steal on trickery trait.
Just dont spam it. I swear to you a kitten one-month-old warrior/ranger/[insert class here that is also noob bait kek] who doesnt know his traits is going to start running around the pvp forums demanding perma-kd-thieves be berfed.
Then thieves guild will be next.

I see they have trappers runes in PvP now correct? They are very flexible even with the shortened stealth time.
To those knockdowns, I am not sure the Interrupt sigils are in PvP yet but I have been using these in WvW and they VERY useful. You can now use tripwire to steal a boon and health or gain even more might (5+6+5 with tripwire is possible). This in addition to triggering our other interrupt traits both native to us and from gear such as Torment from pressure strikes, Pulmonary impact and confusion stacks.
With SOH traited and doing a steal with mug , steal becomes a very potent attack. One would not be advised to trait them all as this would compromise the build in many ways but fitting in a few of them is quite effective.

Hey guys, I found a way to use tripwire in pvp , cast tripwire and then immedietly cast steal or infiltraitors for a knock down. Basically same combo as s/d ele lightning flash and earthquake combo. pretty neat
The novelty of this combo wears off after a while seeing that you can only do this every 24s-30s. Eventually, you’ll opt-in for a more versatile utility skill.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.

On its own Tripwire not really worth putting on a utility bar. As one traits for what it does it becomes much more viable. Deadly trapper lowers cooldown to 24 and adds might and vulnerability. Much better but there still might be better choices. Dhunter runes and suddenly you have vulnerability and 11 might stacks. Thats pretty decent.
Now get something happening on interrupt and it now has a lot of utility.

Trip-Steal w/Deadly Trapper + Swap to staff w/ Sigil of Intelligence/Impact
If you dont have a stunbreak you’re gonna eat at least [all your hp]

Now that I know steal doesn’t cancel my activation of skills, it’s really fun. I just tried it out on moa birds outside lion’s arch. I can actually use traps without having to rely on scorpion wire!
