Given that resiliance in shadows is becoming baseline, what are the odds of thieves becoming resbots. Probably would be better for gvg/fight guilds in wvw.

-50% damage in stealth, 10s regen on you and downed player, +30% revive speed

If you are still feeling useless you can run scorpion wire and pull targets into your group.

Probably a bad idea, I know, but it gives a different option rather than gank or venom bots.

Maybe if you’re really bored with every other thief build xD

I don’t even think Resilience of Shadows becoming a minor trait will make thieves much more useful when it comes to reviving allies. Warbanner will still be the best option for ressing a group of downed friends, and throwing a shadow refuge against a good group is usually a giant “bomb here now” sign. Unless they change scorpion wire so it doesn’t get blocked by a blade of grass or just miss based on the level of terrain I don’t see a reason to use that, especially in a build based around reviving allies.

I don’t know. Could be a funny little gimicky build to use from time to time to troll people who engage on you thinking you’ll be the squishy in your group, only to find you’re running tanky gear. I just can’t see myself having any fun using a build created for the purpose of getting downed people back on their feet is all haha.

I play a full nomad medic thief in WvW right now, and honestly it’s the most fun build I’ve ever tried in an MMO for any class or role, as far as I’m concerned. It’s surprisingly effective at getting the dead back on their feet and back into the battle; you do have to be very much on the ball, though, to do it in the middle of a 25-man zerg. Trust me, you never really get a feeling of uselessness. (I don’t at least.)

I’m still trying to figure out how the HoT changes will alter the build I use; there’ll be some buffs, I think, as well as some nerfs, so it remains to be seen how it’ll all play out.
