Hello everyone, I was wondering if people would know on whether Thief stealth traits trigger/benefit from the stealth produced by the Norn racial elite skill Prowl from Summon Snow Leopard? I’m asking this because I’m considering making a Norn thief after the Anet key farming nerf. It’d be a big disappointment if one levels it up only to find out it doesn’t benefit at all, and nothing on the wiki/forums suggests if it does or does not.
I know the argument on racial skills not being useful enough to be a concern, but situationally in WvW this might be of some use. Thanks in advance!

Honestly sounds like a good theory, but we won’t know until someo0ne trys it, I say go for it and keep us posted Unless others have numbers/tried it too, to share.
I highly doubt I’ll be leveling that Thief (I prefer Asura Thief because Norn Daggers on Asura <3) since it’s one of three Thieves, and not the level 80 one.
It doesn’t work with Mesmer PU. Prowl may be stealth but its in its own little world. I don’t think you even get the reveal debuff if attacking with Prowl up.
A norn thief should see if using prowl and then dropping snow leopard will give access to the thieves stealth skills even ;-)
Dang, I just tested Shadow Protector. Yeah it doesn’t work with that. It’s the only stealth trait I have. I’m not sure what you mean by your statement, Justine? Are you asking to see if dropping Snow Leopard will maintain Prowl (it only lasts ~5 seconds, anyways)?

Does Prowl persist after leaving Snow Leopard form?
The answer is yes.
You can stealth ontop of it, but it doesn’t stack duration and leaves you with the Decoy/multiple stealth visual bug where you look normal even though you are still stealthed.
Note that this visual bug is only going to be on your client, so in WvW or PvE, you will still be stealthed.

I did not test to see if Prowl gives Revealed.
He was asking if you can use your stealth attack (backstab, tactical strike, …) after leaving the form.
Thanks Esplen, Ezra for testing it out. That’s a shame. Would have been great to be able to chain that stealth from the racial and benefit from the stealth traits as well. I guess it goes along the lines of the Asuran Mesmer, which I just tested out, the Master of Misdirection does not increase Pain Inverter’s confusion – in its “own little world”, as Justine put it.
