It is even possible, that thiefs can get another nerf?

Maybe I’m not out, but I would take a huge break from this game, if they nerf Acrobatic or Steal again.

They are already weak and if they nerf them, then were this the evidence that ANet only hear on little whiners and have no clue of this class and I do not like to play a game, where devs cant do his job.

For me to totally quit thieves all weaponsets and traitlines for powerbuilds would have to get nerfed, so I’m fully out of options.

But here’s some things that alone would make me think twice before logging on my thief.

  • Taking dmg while in stealth unstealths you.
  • If backstab had it’s dmg reduced, and things like Life Blast, Killshot, Eviscerate, Shatter etc. not.
  • Aegis and other temporary blocks unstealths you. The only situation I would be fine with this is if backstab becomes unblockable from behind, this would also let us counter Aegis after popping Basilisk Venom.
  • Disabling shot wont get fixed, I hardly press disabling shot as it is now. I would want something like it being split into 2 to prevent spam, first the evade and cripple, then something useful on the second, a short knockdown would be quite nice and would fit the SB set since it’s mostly utility and decent pressure based.
  • If they nerfed Acro or Trickery so the lines would only be good for builds using both, I fear this a lot after seeing everyone crying about S/D 2/0/0/6/6.
  • If they increased revealed past 4 seconds.
  • If Blackpowder was turned into a dark field like someone suggested. o.0
  • If S/P was nerfed more, I hardly play S/P anymore and I’m really annoyed when I get catched off guard by a S/P thief, but hell, it needs to be like this for it to work and do its job.

They are getting there, slowly. Now condi P/D is top tier in QQ, the set that once was a gimmick, something you’d occasionally run for comic relief, but is now seeing more play, and naturally the QQ shifts. Next up is P/P.

Was just a random suggestion, a daze or something would be good too. What I mainly had in mind was situations where someone locks a thief with long immobilize durations and has them eat high damaging attacks, in this situation the thief previously used to be forced to use Disabling Shot 2 or more times in a row to come out alive, this makes it difficult in a setting like 2v1 or 3v1 to hit the thief, where as something like an interrupt on whoever got hit by disabling shot would improve 1v1 survival, and it would be countered by stability at the same time. So I thought this true more than you can think, in terms of balance for both the thieves and other classes.

But you didn’t think your second part through, but I can’t really blame you for lacking knowledge about the class and probably about the whole game, like most keyboard turning rangers.

If they nerf expeditious dodger I’d quit. Not because the trait is godly, but because if they honestly find the justification to nerf it clearly the warrior community has taken over the balance team and its down hill from there.

I did. It would stop thieves from BSing and stealthing in a fairly quick succession. Increasing the revealed duration would give players a better chance to hit the thief after they come out of stealth. Its not a guaranteed hit ofc, but it would help. The short duration of revealed is one of the reasons why thieves can 1vX, on top of their access to numerous evades, it requires a bit of effort to maintain pressure on a good thief.

A daze or stun would be OP as well, so would immobilize. Just sayin’.

Yeah they basically did what was necessary to make the game no longer fun for me. The imbalances are left untouched for 2 months, and wvw/pvp haven’t become more interesting or different. I haven’t played in a few weeks now, only logging in occasionally for socializing and to see if anything has changed.

I lol’ed.

I’d probably move to another class or quit outright if direct damage output is badly nerfed across the board (more than the ferocity change did, anyway). As long as I’m not forced to play condi to be effective I’m happy.

Edit: that being said, most of my guild have left the game/are on indefinite haitus due to the ridiculously slow rate of change to the PvP aspect of the game. Nothing has drastically changed for PvP/WvW in months so it is becoming stale, and stuff that’s blatantly OP/UP should not realistically take 5 ish months to fix.

I guess that’s a lack of change as opposed to a nerf though :P
