It sounds like you need some toughness, Steal only hits me for 3.7k and i’m a thief. (the weakest class in the game to burst damage.)

I suggest using Knight’s Gear.

Also, you died in four hits, not two.

Steal and Backstab hit you for 22k damage and you survived, How did he steal and then immediately back stab you, he would of had to cloak and dagger you between that, then waited a couple seconds to do it again, and you survived and didn’t expect to see this coming?

Earlier today I was hit with a 6k steal 6k CnD and a 11.5k Bs. Again like you in full exotic PVT gear with Omnom bread for extra tough and vit. Pretty much 3 hits delivered in 1 second flat equals a dead Doyen >.<

It took me a while to sift through your post history of constant Thief QQ to figure out what class you were playing. Looks like you swapped from a ranger to a warrior. You got railed while using Frenzy. You got countered. Deal with it.

Isn’t that the same as pretty much having no armor?

If thieves can only do that much with an unarmored opponent, looks like thieves need a damage buff.

It’s close. A 50% dmg buff is a lot. I lovelovelove junking a dumb 100b war (like the OP) who pops frenzy and backstabbing them like they are an up-level.

Answer Stiv, he called you out. If you died while having Frenzy on, how could you complain?

Is posible even on 3000 defence , happened to me once too.
If an thief got base stats :
3200 p attack 104 critical damage 50% critical chance:
He can have with buff food
- 61% critical chance
- 114 crit DMG
-P attack -3200 +250 (25x bloodlust ) + 800-900 from might stacks (from guardian /warrior ally and few from self buff.
If thief reach 4000 + p attack and over 110 crit damage he will deal 10 k- 12k + backstabs on heavy armors, and yes that is overpowered, but i belive that thief had some buffs from guardian/ warrior.

It’s cataclysm rogues all over again! Better nerf them!

I run a thief and d/d ele too buddy, I can assure countering glass cannon thieves is waaaaay to easy, you actually have a few skills over there to easily counter it after that you have a lot of time to take him down even if his skill chain is ready again, backstabbing, when an encounter alrdy has started, is quite hard so you can easily kill him with immobilize, knockdown and cripple skills, you will be on earth attunement most of the time and for p/d thieves on water, but don’t forget to switch between attunements even if you know your skills are still on cd those buffs come in handy

D/D ele whining about anything else aside, 2600 armor is pretty low. If the thief was glass enough to do that kind of damage through your army of buffs, one hit would have killed it. This is a L2P issue.

As for the OP, 14k backstabs only come from hyper-glass thieves on people under 80 with no toughness. Frenzy is a kitten.
