[P/D] [WvW]Fine Tuning Build
This is the build I use. It fits my play style, but you might be able to adapt it. (I didn’t add slot skills, as everyone has their preference)
Obviously, you’d have to substitute the ascended gear out for what’s available for you, but what I like about my build, is that all conditions I apply, have 75% duration increase. It might not sound like a big deal, but everything lasting that much longer means you can keep pressure on longer imo.
You’d also swap out the secondary set for SB. I prefer P/D + P/D, so I can keep poison up more easily via Sigil of Doom.
Edit: For traits, I went with Mug recently, and forgot to swap that out. I also went with Sigil of Earth, because it has a very low CD of 2 seconds, and typically doesn’t interfere with Sigil of Doom.

Thanks, did you make these choices because there are no carrion ascended pieces or because you wanted to go with rabid
I.e. would you change if there were carrion ascended pieces to a different build?
Also I’d think you would want thrill of the crime over uncatchable with your build for the fury.
I really like the blind on CnD since it so long (.5secs) but sometimes go for the extra heal as well.

I went with those ascended pieces because they had the stats I wanted:
Condition damage
Vitality
Toughness
The precision wasn’t part of the choice, it just happened to be included. I agree that vitality is best for a thief, but I also believe that having a decent amount of toughness compliments it.
I wasn’t building the gear for any sort of critical chance increase. The precision that is there is merely what happened to be on the pieces I chose, and offered just enough crit for the sigil of earth to go off relatively often. (I’d rather use something else – it can go on CD just as I weapon swap for sigil of doom, and cancel it out, but options are limited)
Since I wasn’t building my gear with crit in mind, Thrill of the Crime isn’t something I was interested in. Uncatchable is really, really handy. Once you get used to using it, you can almost always get at least 1 tic in on an opponent.
Edit: I do miss having a stun break, but in small fights, it’s not that bad. I’ve eaten one-hundred blades before and other combos. It hurts, but it’s survivable. I change things up some in larger scale fights such as siege, like using a short bow for harassment, and changing a few traits around.
