I have been thinking about this for a while now.
Due to low base dps on pistols, the loss of around 500 power is not too severe. You will be critting all the time and stacking huge amounts of bleeds that will tick around 75-92 depending on might stacks. The boonripping uses to be pretty neat to break down bunkers.
Shadow strike will also deal a pretty good amount of damage while prividing aditional torment dps.
Survivability should be pretty awesome, having almost perma vigor and good heals in stealth.
In a party you can venomshare, what will be buffed pretty well with the next patch
Its a first go on it and will be thought over a few times before I give it a try.

What role can you find for a full conditionbuild with P/D? The pressure is laughable compared to all other classes with strong conditionbuilds.
This one is a try to put on the bleedpressure and still having high direct dps due to 50% critchance and 84% critical damage.
It fills the role most P/D builds have way better than they do. Trolling, annoying and in this case even dealing damage.
The survivability is even better than the normal “Wild Bill” and with all the crippling on crits you can severly annoy other thieves, mesmers and eles.
And if it doesnt do the job in a party setup well, what P/D build does better?
Roaming solo you will sure be a bigger thread than the “sneak attack spamming P/D-trolls” out there atm.

why shortbow?
for solo roaming i think d/d can be better. you can stack more bleed with death blossom and have decent damage with backstab – hearteeker.
in the shortbow i found really good the sigil of hydromancy.
weapon swap + 2 2 2 on my feet it’s a good burst ’cause you have a 2.5-3k dmg from sigil + you slow down enemies and cluster bomb them.
Mostly for escaping/mobility. Swap, free dodge, shadow Shot. Daggers sure are fine too. In parties it means clusterbombing with nice bleeds, but overall AoE poison and very important weakness. We need this when outnumbered. Also pretty OP cripple with evades. SB is the most underrated weapon in this game. I dont like hydromancy as it uses to reveal me when i really dont want to be revealed.

the reveal part is true, but i managed to swap in safe place.
in group sb is mostly a must have… daggers can be viable when soloing.
They sure are! I got revealed by a white rabbit once, that was the last time i roamed with hydromancy or geomancy. I use it on my warriors shield though.

Looking for mathgeniusses to tell me what bufffood and stacks are best.
Personally I would opt for condition in both cases. Fury uptime is pretty good with both trickery traits and boonduration.
