P/P theif in raid?
P/P, particularly Unload, is good because its self-sufficient. In Raids and other organized group content, you need group buffs, not self-sufficiency. You’ll be getting your Might from someone else, so you’ll have no need to ever be in P/P do begin with.
The only caveat would be needing ranged damage. Just a Pistol/x would suffice in that case.
I tried a build that could give the maximum amount of unloads possible, that involved quick pockets, stealing for initiative, rolling for initiative, rune of the warrior for more quick pockets, and the damage was terrible for a raid scenario.
If you combine Staff + p/p as power build maybe it’s good for raid scenario if you want a safer play to keep intact long and close range battle. Maybe you must try it on golem with standard buff it’ll show your dps output. I’ll try it later too then hahahah

P/P is good on bosses that hit too hard for thief melee. For everything else the Staff is way better.

P/P is high burst but moderate sustain and performs very poorly in multi-target situations. It just isn’t optimal for bosses with big pools of health because the auto-attack is so weak.

Well, if there are no scepter guardians or staff elementalists in your raid group, PP off-set is good for clearing orbs on Gorse.

P/P multi target capability is only weak because Anet removed Ricochet Trait. and as for sustained burts they also removed at the same time all those traits that regain initiative. in the old days unload could be perma spammed ( never running out ever) if traited properly and hit upto 32 targets from bounces from ricochet. reference old traits like Hastened Replenishment , and Quick recovery to name a couple.
