Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone,
I just open thief 3 days ago (correctly lvl 32) , The problem is that I have no expertise about the thief class and idk what WvWvW (pvp build) build and PVE build (CoF, Fracalt and maybe arah) to take. can you guys recommend 2 good builds 1 for WvWvW and 1 for PVE (if it possible 1 build for those 2 i will be happy to hear about it) ? For edition I also dont know which gear to take Zerker or knight.

It all depends on how you envision your thief playing as.

I saw a lot of videos and I saw that a lot of ppl using D/P that base all the time on stealth, that build I looking for. also if there is build for D/D i will be happy to hear. also i want to use short bow as my 2nd weapon, in short i want build with more chance to survive in WvWvW and PVE. BTW which armor set is good for survive Knight or Valkyrie
The gear ( rings, back arrows, Accessory and Amulet) will be zerker cuz i want to do more damage.

my opinion for PVE:
1.delete thief
2.create warrior (highest hp pool, best armor, banners with double buffs, best dps etc.)
3.enjoy the most OP class

for wvw you can use d/p or p/d as most trolls.

i already have warrior but it get boring

Here is the build I’m currently running with. It’s a very strong 1v1 build (although it’s stronger when you carry sword/dagger as your weapon swap). The build works great on small group scenarios. It had lots or initiative regen, stealth, blinds, gap closers, and decent damage output.

How to play: throw down black powder and heart seeker through it 3 times. Your traits will regen enough initiative during this time for you to be back to full and you can precast backstab and steal to your target for some big hits.

interesting, did you ever run this build on fractals?

I run it in fractals whenever I do them, but I’m only at level 7 (I don’t like PVE). From what I’ve to experienced the instant condition clear when you stealth is extremely valuable and easy access to blinds is immensely helpful.

Opened a similar thread a few days ago. Although I m unsure as to whether you ll find a leveling build there, the guys/gals offered quite a nice variety. Check it.

I take it, it is a work in progress. My intentions are to collect all the PvE builds there so that we can finally differentiate them from those with a mindset of “rogue is for pvp only”.

For the last couple of months, I’ve been using a dual-dagger build based on http://www.gw2db.com/skill-builds/486-my-first-try-for-a-wvw-roming-build.

I’ve got both thief and warrior toons. Love ‘em both, but I have more fun with the thief. And for what it’s worth, in sPvP the thief has a huge advantage over my warrior in games-won percentage.

probably we (thiefs) are not prefect for tanky and i prefer little dps. probably is Vital wont save us insted DPS probably
