Can someone please explain this to me.

Marauder Amulet DA/SA/Trick Build

My BS crit hit the Scrapper for 900 and auto attack was hitting really low 100-200…but his Electri Whirl hit me for 4K? This is a L2P issue so please let me know what happened. I didn’t have weakness on me.

Did he have protection? That plus scrapper rune, and I think they have some traits for extra toughness could possibly explain it. I haven’t played my scrapper yet, so I don’t know what they can do in detail yet.

What game mode – if it’s WvW then an easy explanation is that you’re an upscale…

If it’s PvP then are you sure the build is right? Not familiar with scrapper, is there something that temporarily gives them massive toughness or negates crits?

use pack runes because lack if crit, then spam vault 5 for 8 k crits, have fun

you are right. ranger and engi got huge dmg mitigation. protection 33% . rune of scrapper 7% more toughness etc..

Protection, rune of scrapper (possibly), trait which reduces incoming damage by 10%, trait to gain additional toughness when struck (stacking buff), and you could also have possibly missed the back and caught him closer to the front on the side.
