After a lot of bouncing around, I’ve found that Power D/P DA/Tr/DD is just too insane to pass up as a main set.

However, when roaming with my bud, my SB gets no love because he just can’t keep up. So I’m thinking of dropping the SB for another weapon set to play with as some mix-up optionality.

What are matchups or situations you’ve found power D/P struggles against but another power weaponset excels at? This includes SB, I definitely don’t use it enough in combat.

Staff offers some of the mobility that SB has and gives a nice AoE kick. P/P allows for ranged pressure which can be excellent when dealing with Necros, DH, Warriors.

S/D might be an interesting pick because of its in combat mobility. Thing zips around and confuses a lot of players.

I have the same trait lines and I run S/D D/P. I used to have S/D SB before HoT but found SB to be unused and kind of a hindrance. I’ve had a lot more success against warriors in particular with the S/D D/P sets, and in general having something instead of the old staple SB seems to throw most people off initially. All in all I feel it’s pretty versatile and like Straegen said that in combat mobility is fantastic.

I use s/d mostly and sometimes switch from p/p secondary to d/p secondary. I’m not the smartest player but I felt like I could burn through initiative pretty quickly and I ended up just using d/p more naturally because it’s better right now. P/p lets me interrupt people taking a chance shot on walls, build up some might, and lets me tag stuff from afar when whoever I’m with starts moving and I don’t feel like it competes with my main set.
