I am just rolling a Thief and is a little confuse due to all the skills a thief has in which is more important. So which is it…Power of Precision?

Forgot to add I am using S/P and SB.

Both are important. You’ll need at least 45-50% Critical Hit Chance (with high fury uptime) to dish out some damage with Pistol Whip.

Are you talking about the specific trait lines, or just your overall stats?

In any case, you’ll generally need both to a degree, in addition to crit damage, if you want to put out high damage.

A common stat choice to use is berserker’s, which has power as it’s highest stat, with precision and crit damage as its secondary stats.

If you have to make a choice between power and precision (i.e. between berserker’s and assassin’s gear), power is usually the better option to go with, provided your precision isn’t really low. Otherwise, precision might be better for getting higher DPS. You’d have to do the math to know for sure.

Rule of thumb, when using a sword, always go for Power. No compromises.

From there, you can substitute Precision to whatever compliments your playstyle.

Personally, I prefer Vitality over Precision thus I use Valkyrie over Berserker.

I did notice a few builds using more vitality or equal to precision.
