Pulmonary Impact Causing Revealed
Yeah you gotta be uberquick and get your next attack down before that proc.
I wonder if it a mechanic thing? Are there damage skills that proc that do not cause a reveal? As i recall they removed the damge portion of traps so they would not reveal a thief in hiding that may have set it. by the same token they added a damage component to SB and choking gas to force a reveal.

To be honest, using pulmonary impact with DA Trickery and DD is extremely strong right now. Not really sure hidden thief is needed when backstabbing is outdamaged by shadow shot and autos.
Edit: thinking about it, if a mesmer is running the reflect CC and damage on interrupt traits, as the standard shatter build does, are they revealed when something like a big old bomb or engi pull interrupts them and it’s reflected? If not, pulmonary impact shouldn’t reveal us either.

I cannot imagine what a basilisk/mug/pulmonary/air sigil/backstab would feel like on someone not running 500+ toughness.

I used to run that just with pistol whip instead of backstab. My shatter mesmer friend was pretty surprised when it one shot him.

Nah. Would be much too op and be nerf bait instantly. Dealing 3-4k damage, 7-8k with a double proc, while in stealth and not being revealed is a bit much. If this is a problem for you, either keep track of your pulm procs better or try and practice getting your stealth attacks off quicker.

Yes it can be done. I use staff with SA and hidden thief with SOH traited. Steal can do that interrupt and stealths and then have to be real quick and pull off that hook strike. I have generated 2 interrupts in a row like this which than fire off as I do an impact strike which can add another.
It takes great timing but is very powerful.
I brought this up as I was running into it being a problem when trying to use stealth defensively, not offensively. Like say I was stealing to a target to set up my get away in stealth, only to have my sleight of hand interrupt proc a pulm, knocking me out of stealth a few feet away. While I agree it is a pretty niche situation issue, I wanted to bring up the topic. There was a very brief period when pulm didn’t cause reveal, but it also didn’t proc any on damage activations like venoms or air sigil. So that might just have been the trade off, to have it cause reveal in exchange for activations applying to it.
A side topic, currently shared basc venom interrupts proc the traits of the person using the venom rather than the thief who shared it, unlike how condition damage works for shared venom, which only uses the thief’s stats. Should this be changed in favor of thieve’s traits, or should it stay as is?
