Guild Wars 2

So I am basically new to the game, just coming from WoW, and I really want to go into Guild Wars 2. I am just basically wondering where I can find a pve thief either on twitch or on youtube who makes videos every so often.. To be more specific, a dagger/dagger kind of thief..

You’re not likely to find (much of) this kind of thief content at all.

Unlike wow, dungeon pve in GW2 is not really challenging, skillful or rewarding. Its gimmicky, full of bosses that simply 1-shot you for a mistake, and the rewards are pretty limited because equality of gear power is something they seem to want to maintain. Most of the pve videos that exist just cover ways to beat a gimmick or cheat the system (stealth past this group to avoid a hard fight, hop over this wall to skip to the end, run with this group comp to reflect all ranged attacks and cause the boss to die in seconds, etc). Videos are much more likely to be pvp/wvw related because there is nothing competitive or impressive about completing gw2 pve content (especially true for Twitch streaming).

On top of that, daggers dont have much cleave, making sword a more popular choice for dungeons. to make matters worse, high level pve in GW2 strives for group composition optimization, and in very very few cases is it optimal to have a thief in the party. For cash runs, mostly people want 4 greatsword warriors and a single mesmer. no thieves (too squishy). For the highest dungeon (fractals), what is optimal is unknown because the dungeon itself is somewhat random, but typically the groups look for guardians, sometimes elementalists, warriors and mesmers. Again, not thieves.

Thats not to say that thieves cant be very good at pve content, but because their not the best (or even on the better half of the pve scale) and the tendency is to make the best comp, they are not really desired, thus not streamed or video’d.
