As we all know Improvisation used to reset one of the 5 then existing skill categories be it tricks, traps venoms, signets or deception. With the HOT expansion Physical was added to this group meaning the changes of any one skill type resetting dropped from 20 percent to 16.6 percent.

Now assuming someone never bought the HOT expansion. Does it remain at 20 percent and more to the point if one does not trait daredevil at all is it 1 in 6 or 1 in 5?

i am 70% sure it does not count elite trait line unless it equipped. i ran a quick test with trait line turn off i always get 1 of the 5 reset i ran test 8 times seem to work.

I thought the same thing at HOT launch haha. I don’t know of a way to test it. My guess is yes this could possibly be an oversight based on the sheer oddity of the trait.

The only way to see if it does this is to put up a forum post, or wait for other elite spaces to enter the game. This would probably add skill types and would lower that % even more! Maybe even to an unreliable rate.

Tested this back at HoT launch.
As a Core Thief and all variations of utility, I’d always reset one of the 5 utilities.
Did 50 Steals like that, so it seems to be 20% chance per variation as long as there’s no Daredevil traitline active (I did a few steals with the same 5 core thief utility variations but with Daredevil active) and ended up not resetting any of those 5 CD’s at that point so the 16.6% applies.
So yes, Improv does seem to take Daredevil on/off in account, unles I got lucky 50 times in a row.
