Quick Pockets......
Boosting a thief’s initiative to more than 1.5x of its base rate with a single GM trait seems a little much, since it’s the only limiter to the weapon skills.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.
@nightblood
IIRC they mentioned maybe boosting the base rate again.
found it: https://youtu.be/WPqYpcteqac?t=3960
They wanted to remove the regen traits and roll more into baseline…. which makes quick pockets a weird contradiction like you were saying. If they would make you able to swap weapons every 5 seconds and gain 1 initiative on swap, that would be pretty cool and really add some versatility to thief.
What about if quick pockets would give 1 free initiative skill once every 10 seconds instead? or 2 free skill once every weapon swap? the other classes are getting 5 full skill every weapon swap anyway
but they’re a lot stronger
than they will be next year!
Well with opportunist gone (and well who would run Critical Strikes even if it were still there anyway), heck I wouldnt mind seeing Opportunist (Or something similar) replace quick pockets.
Since being acro, Maybe something on dodge every ten seconds or so.
I do not like the initiative nerf at all. Managing initiative in a fight is pretty interesting now as it is.
They could at least allow quickness to affect initiative gain.
Then its a boon that undoubtedly you would have to take a Sigil of rage to accomplish it.
Just a thought, Ill probably have to get used to slowing down my attack speed, but I dont like that idea.
