Just wondering if anyone knows if a hybrid thief is possible? (WvW speaking). Any input would be great! Armor/Builds/Weaps/ anything to that sort. Is it even worth to split the dmg? Thanks guys.

D/D or Shorbow celestial are your best bets

The thing that makes hybrids strong are a combination of celestial, might stacking, condi and power damage.

If you have them all, you can be cele.

Those two sets are the most likely candidates.

If you have fury uptime it shouldn’t be an issue mixing carrion and celestial

Yishis has a very recent video of a hybrid p/d build. 20606, uses full celestial and strength runes. You stack might in stealth an have strong direct and condi dmg from weapon skills and steal.

Yup Carpboy is right, get strength runes.

You guys are missing what I consider two important things. One: Yishis is an outstanding thief and two: strength runes are very pricey. I’ve muddled with this concept before and I came up with this

You can always change out shadow protector for cloaked in shadow but in my experience, the blind doesn’t have all that great of an effect for ranged. And the extra heal stat can be used to your advantage.

Would Aristocracy work instead of strength runes?

6/0/2/0/6 p/d +sbow celest air/fire works a lot better than people realize. In spvp it’s the only p/d build remotely viable. In WvW it might be better to run more tanky with some dire pieces…
