About to hit 80 on my Thief and have been running a Condition build why leveling. (Yes I’m aware of some condition group limitations, but I enjoy the play-style).

Anyways I can’t seem to decide between these two sets, being a LW I can make both. Is losing that much crit going to be hurting me? (While I know Bleeds and such can’t crit, I do backstab and auto attack as well as Death Blossom’s initial hit which can all crit).

Or would you perhaps mix and match the two?

Curious what most condition thief builds usually steer too.

i use Carrion because i find the vitality really valuable. i guess Rampager would do a bit more damage from the Precision, but i never really liked it. you’re not also stacking +crit damage stuff or taking traits that have added effects on crit, so the benefit seems small to me.

I went for tgh/con/prc gear, exotics… better than both IMO.

If you’re not using 2 agony runes.. You’re doing it wrong.

Yeah cause that is what gw2 is all about.

I know weapon swap(like battle) and stat stacking(like bloodlust). I’m not sure about agony ones but i wouldn’t think so.

I would personally use all different sigils because I would think it would be better all around.

Condition damage is fun and strong but there are so many limitations. Everyone is trying to be the best dps and CD is good but typical. I would say go with Carrion(I think its the one with vit). With that extra vitality you are stronger against conditions on your self whilst toughness will help your protection from taking power based damage(big hits).

The only tip I can really tell you is don’t just try and be a major damage doer consider your survivability as a key factor.
