Ranger SB bypassing stealth?
I can be wrong, but if you suppose that AoE Dmg can hit Invisible players, so hits in the Location of the invisible player can also deal damage to him.
AOE hits invisible players, but sometimes invis does not drop the ‘lock’ and they can still target and attack you with normal attacks, this is cause invis is client based and if the other guys client did not get that ‘data’, they do not see you as invis. (sometimes players also hack their client, so they always see invis players.)
Also ‘bounce’ attacks will bounce to invis player, that SHOULD be a bug, but its been reported lots and never fixed.
It’s stupid, but channel skills hits through stealth.
I think that channeling skills should not hit you in stealth.
AOE should hit you in stealth,exept for one particular skill:the guardians greatsword 5 skill:Binding Blade.It strikes the enemies around the guardian,dot’s them and the pulls them to the guardian(including the invisible ones).For me this isn’t logical.One think is to stay in the ranger’s Barrage,other is your magical blades to finds and pulls invisible enemy.

Here’s the thing about stealth. It makes you untargetable and makes any player that had you as a target lose you as a target. Now when a skill is used it is directed towards your target. When you stealth, the player will lose you as his target but any skill he was had just used will maintain you as a target. Essentially, players drop targets, skills do not. This is especially evident with channeled skills that can hit you for the entire duration of your stealth simply because they will not drop target after being used.

There is probably lag and it is definitely bugged, but yeah, I continually take damage from rangers, but more so from phantasms, illusions and pets after I go into stealth.
With all the stealth QQs that’s going on you can rest asure this issues will be fixed with a nerf.
It was most likely rapid fire and not cross fire. With cross fire the arrows will hit you for a few secs then go in random directions, rapid fire or most channeling skills follow you in stealth. Which is good imo since using stealth to interupt a channeled cast is op imo. But yea it sucks being hit in stealth.
This is such an old issue, and i haven’t seen a reply to it. Its not just shortbow, every attack tracks stealth, my trick shot tracks stealth, even heartseeker tracks stealth. If this isn’t a mechanic, and they do fix it, thieves survivability will sky rocket.

It is mandatory when you pop stealth to dodge after it.This way you waste 2 resources(initiative and endurance).I don’t know if the game mechanic is that way and it just cannot be fixed,but at least they can make dodge cost half endurance while in stealth.

i think that it is correct that a hidden player could be hit, and also that the channeling goes on. what i found broken is that the ranger rotates following the direction of the stealthed one and also preventing the proper positioning for a backstab.
I’m hoping it’s a bug and will get fixed soon.

You know what’s even more frustrating? The stealth issue where characters don’t render for 2-3 seconds while coming out of stealth. Hopefully they fix your issue when they fix the stealth issue.
I noticed this in PvE today too. Some mobs would start a channel, I’d pop stealth and strafe, and the mob would still channel and track me while stealthed. Quite annoying. I hope this is not intended.

Yeah, I’ve played a Thief, Warrior, Mesmer in actual matches, and others in the Mist but not in matches. It’s hilarious when you’ve played a thief and know this, and you switch to Rifle > Killshot with Warrior as a Thief goes into stealth.
