I wanted to do something against the mold, are there any builds / playstyles that aren’t commonly used but can be somewhat effective in PvP?

A few of us use p/d condi despite good results conquest is why we are rare in pvp. The windows for our diversity are closing. They are variations in d/p and s/d builds but conquest and our traits are negatively affecting those as well.

There was a p/p sb thief doing good in www but again conquest in pvp.

i enjoy P/D condi on tPvP (as my signature says). oddly enough, when i WvW i go for D/P burst.

I run a D/D & Shortbow condition build that consists of Healing, Traps, thief summons, and Death Blossom. Very fun to use, and something I rarely come across.

I made a really fun SB/SB condi build a while ago. It was a crack at a point defence build based around dodges and healing through ini use. Would be interesting to do with a celestial amulet. It was awesome to have the SB’s versatility and movement constantly. Stealing from a ranger > blast > blast > blast…. was awesome.

Fun, yes. Effective, prolly not. Anything is alright in solo q though.

Healing power P/P bunker blindspam.

With the incoming nerfs, no longer really viable, but absolutely freaking hilarious at the moment with how well it counters hambow and simply just lives through everything.

Tanky s/p with the non damaging leeching venoms (not full venomshare) , mug soldier stats

How rare? I play what some would consider traditional d/p but the modifications make the play style completely different, although the trait spread isn’t unusual.
