Guild Wars 2

So I came back a little over a week ago after over 4 years. When the game launched I played a thief. He’s lvl 80. I felt being so lost in the game I would make a new Character. Now im starting to get a feel and want to finish my Thief out and I’m so LOST. and could use so help. I’ll try to break it up on where I am struggling.

Getting set up for Build/Training. Right now I’m Critical strikes. I have All skills and Spec maxed out and have 90 points left. I haven’t unlock DareDevil yet. I’m not sure where to go with this. I want balance of Pve farming and of course WvW/ sPvP I going to do. Suggestions on this for build and what weapons… Adding to in the next section for my gear.

Gear- Right now I have full Valkyrie Gear. Dual Daggers with Bow offhand. Where should I be striving for on weapons etc?

Story mode. So no idea but my story is only on lvl 60 #6. So I assume I need to start here and finish this out to unlock stuff?

D/P is considered meta for power.

Condition builds, of which there are several, are also meta enough now to be worth considering.

Balance has shifted a lot recently so the exact traits are debatable.

Do I want to unlock Daredevil? Whats the best way about getting upgraded gear/weapons? i have LW at 400 and Huntsman at like 100.

Yeah, unlocked Daredevil will provide a lot of advantages.

Best choice for gear is to earn stat selectable gear through WvW and pvp reward tracks. Buy the accessories through the pvp league vendor. Then craft ascended weapons and armor.

Or you can do PvE and get various items that way (lots of methods).

Mauraders is a good baseline you can then use a mix of that and zerker and other stats to reach your desired comfort zone.

Ok cool, thanks for the help. I been searching and a lot of info is old. whats the best way/easiest/less time consuming way to get exotic gear? being i have 400LW is that viable? I literally can’t find out hwo to unlock the recipes which I’m probably over looking.

Or is sPvP and WvW better? Story/PVE?

I’m casual playing. if lucky 1 get 1-2 hours a night to play.

In pvp and WvW there are reward tracks for Glorious and Triumphant armor. Both are stat selectable and easy to get.

Mauraders is expensive enough to justify crafting ascended and convert it in mystic forge. Stat selecting exotics will be decent and “free” in the meantime.
