I am sorry for asking probably already answered question, but searching forums didn’t give me results.

Anyways, I love this game, and feel that every class has some interesting mechanics and I’ve decided that thief is going to be my next wvw specialised alt.

I am looking for a roaming build, possibly deadly in 1v1 or 1v2 combat, or at least annoying enough that I always menage to get away from enemy.
The way I will play my thief is mainly settling down at enemy camp, and killing their dollyz as they leave for their towers. My friend is rolling a thief so we could also team up and one shot scattered defenders in EB, or keep the enemy interested in their spawn.

So that’s my general idea of how I’d like to play it, long story short – Excellent survival, good enough dps to bring dolly down fast and that’s it.

I dont have much experience playing as thief, only 40ish hours of wvw leveling and that’s it. I dont know what weapons would be best for this cause, but I am thinking d/p&sb 0/20/30/20/0 traited with assassin’s gear.

p.s. Advice on utilities is welcomed.

hm, I’ll try it out, it seems good, the only question I have is, are runes a free choice, or superior runes of divinity are the best ones?

Runes are pretty optional, personally I run travelers to free up a utilty slot. However any dry that gives a crit dmg bonus is gonna be nice, at one point I ran the set with fury procs which was kinda cool. But honestly just kinda narrow down what you want out of your runes, and see what ones synergize to not only your build but playstyle as well

Divinity give the most effective power vs. effective health. However like splatter paw said travelers are good since they free up a utility slot. But with 5 in acrobatics just dodge and do 2heartseekers. Youll get around the map just as quick as if you had travelers. Scholar runes are also great with shadows rejuvenation and the on demand stealth of d/p
