I used to play 2/0/0/6/6 build.

Is the build 2/6/2/0/4 (2 on SA for shadow embrace) is viable build?
Wanted to try this or 2/6/0/0/6 , it is very very squishy build, but on high level will it work?
cause I tried to play it abit, and it seems I die alot easier now,but doing a hell lot more of dmg.Tho mostly die xD
I think it is more of a “get used to” or “time makes perfect” kind of thing what is your opinion on this build?

Viable? Possibly, but I only go deep into Trickery for the daze on steal. You’d be better off with 2/4/2/0/6 or 2/6/0/0/6 oooorrrrr 2/4/0/2/6

Thank you for replying, going 4 on critcial strike meanign the loss of executioner, which is the only reason for me to go on this line. going 2/6/0/0/6 will make me very very squishy,do you think that this build could stand on its own?

You should either get 3pts in acro or 6 in trix for the interrupt.

First, yes, 26006 is viable on its own, but requires some familiarity with the set and extra care around condi builds.

That said, if you’re dying a lot on 26006, then going 26204 won’t help you survive much longer. You only get slightly more condi clear, but that still usually depends on landing your CnD’s.

Frankly, a significant chunk of your sustain comes from mug and sleight of hand, so foregoing sleight of hand means you’ll have a longer cd on mug and lose your insta-cast daze.

I agree that 24206 or 24026 are better options, but if you don’t see any reason to go 4 into critical strikes, then you might as well use 20606, 20066, or 20246. Honestly, with strength runes, power of inertia, and possibly might-on-dodge food (assuming you also play WvW), a 20066 build can dish out comparable dps to a 26006 build.

Running 26xx6 offers quite a bit of damage compared to the other build selections mentioned. But in return as said before you are very squishy. I prominently play 26xx6 and beat the whole notion that it’s not viable, due to how little hp you have and armor rating.

It’s all about your playstyle and how you adapt to it, playing 26xx6 will benefit you in the long run in my opinion due to the fact that you are playing with all the odds against you. (Less evasions, No condi clear, No extra Vigor, No swiftness on Dodge, etc.)

When playing crit you need to be conscientious about your health bar, and your evasions. You can’t mindlessly waste your dodges like some builds out there. Crit focuses on CnD whereas variants of other builds focus on larcenous strike.

To summarize, 26xx6 is excellent to use, but it’s all how you play with it, and which traits, sigils, and runes you use to compliment the build. —- I have a video on youtube running 26xx6 if you’re ever interested.

First of all,Thank you all for the replies.

Secondly,@mango I see your point, but 26006 have more dmg potencial, while 20066 have more sustain and good dmg potencial aswell.Im kinda want to try exploring the depth of the S/D set capablities.
@AikijinX Mind you larcenous strike hit like a truck xD
And yes,I would like to see your video I will be much obliged.

Anyone can give me a 2/6/0/0/6 build ? to compare mine?
