actually a fair few people would prefer it did what it said on the tin, not only for consistency but also for the option of burning extra init to evade into range.

Oh… I thought that’s how it is supposed to do… I hope it’s not a bug, just faulty description… as a long time S/D user, the moment I used the new Flanking Strike, I realised the best part about is – if you “burn” 3 initiative prior to engaging, you can just IS, press 3, press 5 = profit – 2x CnD dmg hits + 2 boons(if target has any).
They said in the interview and it is written in the patch notes.
It should trigger larcenous strike only if you hit your target.
Not it is not working like that.
And it’s a bit OP.
You know that this is a bug and you are exploiting it.
Pre-loading this at a cost of 3 init, where you get that back in 4s, means that you can LS for 1 init as your first strike.
I wouldn’t be the one exploiting this obvious bug.

PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
Most likely will be fixed very soon but its a little hard not to use when you want to steal a boon from an opponent during combat and you know you don’t have to hit to get LS. It’s gonna suck when they take it away and I want LS on demand.
