S/D combos - For Damage

I’m assuming English isn’t your first language, but I think in your first combo you mean you pre-cast flanking strike so you have access to larcenous strike?
Anyway, I’m kind of confused about your use of CnD/stealth. I get that CnD does
Decent damage, but if you’re going to bother using the CnD/steal gap closer you might as well use the stun the AA has from the sword, and then use 3 to rip boons.
Sorry for my bad english.
Yes, on first comb I pre-cast flanking strike for have access to larcenous strike.
I use CND + Steal + larcenous strike to cause major damage
I know I can use the AA to apply Daze, but I miss the strike larcenous, right?

2/0/0/6/6 is ok for spvp, it’s too evasive/has low dmg for wvw. Change the traits to suit your playstyle?

I believe the other well accepted S/D build it 2/6/0/0/6. You’ll definitely have more damage this way. It could be what you’re looking for.
But survival is not compromised, since I have not many Stealths and dodge?
Today I survive with very dodges practically endless. How would the survival?
And mobility without the swiftness in dodge?

You said your 2 weaknesses are: 1. condi removal 2. high dps.
For some time, I was using in wvw a variant of the build GinhamLion mentioned, 0/6/2/0/6, it has good condi removal and good dps too.
I can’t really speak from experience, since I don’t love S/D, and if I play it I do use the acrobatics build. But I suppose maybe with the signet that increases initiative regen, you could have more flanking strikes available.
These are some of my favorite combos for S/D.
Flanking strike to load larcenous strike, autoattack once, autoattack twice, then larcenous strike. It makes it look like larcenous strike is part of the autoattack chain so they usually don’t dodge it.
Flanking strike to load larcenous strike, infiltrator’s strike, larcenous strike. Easy way to get boons and damage off.
Infiltrator’s strike, CnD, Stealth Attack, Autoattack chain.

I would like to hear opinions on this matter as well, i’ve been trying various builds S/D and S/P
Currently i’m trying thw 2/0/0/6/6 build in full zerk which does feel like a bit low dmg. The problem is that if you take out those 6 points from acro tree your survivability goes down big time, and i really love way too much that 20s steal.
Is there anyone running it successfully or am i just going to eat more frustration in trying to make it work in wvw?
I did love the dmg of a 2/6/0/0/6 build in valk armor / zerk anything else and it does work better in 1v1, but truth is most of the time you’ll need to be able to survive getting the focus in small scale fights and 2 dodges and some juking won’t cut it i’m afraid…
Ive actually been trying out 0/6/0/4/4 in both spvp and wvw and its working wonders. you still have all the dmg of 6 crit strikes while keeping the good survivability from acro and the nice boon steal from trickery. sometimes I miss sleight of hand, but oh well.
I feel it synergizes well with Bountiful Theft, but you run out of Points to use apart from in Acrobatics, which could be otherwise be used for Deadly Arts (for Poison/Mug) or Critical Strikes (Executioner)
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.

I see thieves use 2/0/0/6/6 in wvw but they normally don’t do that well, while they can evade a lot, they rarely hurt me much (prob lucky high might stack crit). While most of my hits hurt them a lot. All that extra HP from acro looks nice but it goes away really fast if the build has no extra toughness.
I have been testing some builds, I always played D / D but after testing S / D I found the gameplay much more fun. Currently use to build:
Well I have two weaknesses compared to build D / D I wore:
1) Removal of conditions
2) Combo with high damageRemoval of condition gives to use FOOD to soften, but I’d rather take the risk and try to kill simply not taking condition.
One of your main problem is your choice for healing skill. Withdraw is counter productive for an S/D build since it pulls you away for your target. The best choice for S/D is hide in shadows, however, due to the inability of hide in shadows in removing torment and confusion, I start using AntiToxin Spray — which also heals and remove conditions on allies.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.

I like that about withdraw. I either use it to create some distance between me and target or to close a gap.
