Just took a shortbow
Stand on the edge of your shortbow range
when the circle of death appears, stand on the most left side you can stand.
Fiery ground appears below you, walk to the right side.
The fire “balls” are so slow that by the time it would hit you, you can mostly already walk to the other side safely. (Now and then you’ll have to endure the fiery ground pain, but not much and you still have your healing skill)
When there is no circle of death… up to you if you walk around or just stay in that area.
My build is just my build from wvw: 0/30/0/30/10, nothing specific for the shortbow traited. I used hide in shadows, shadow trap (not used), scorpion wire and shadowstep (not used). Elite skill was thieves guild but don’t take this one, they are useless.

use blackpowder on him. he will be confused and unable to attack
