Scorpion Wire!
Hello all my stealthy, evasive buddies. This is a very simple post with one goal, that is to find out if there is something wrong with this utility! And by this i simply mean, personally 70% of the time im using this skill it does not pull but simply just knocks them down. /:
Is this utility a bit buggy? or?
It’s very buggy, but oh so much fun!
It’s an extremely buggy skill. They tried to compensate for its failure by increasing it’s range. I guess you need to be on flat terrain and use it on a stationary target for best odds of it working?
Necromancer’s Spectral Grasp is even worse. Maybe one in three actually pull, and even then they only get pulled half way.
Force yourself to use it for a month. You’ll get used to where you can and cannot use it. With my S/P stunlock it’s a great utility to use when my initiatives are up. Or when they are fleeing.

I have been using it for roughly a month mostly in spvp. mostly in sky hammer because its a fun map if you have some CC. Im not sure if it matters what class you are trying to pull aswell because 99% of the time i fail pulling rangers anywhere even when they dont have any counters for stuns. arenanet please fix the CC utilities! ):
^Try using headshot before using scorpion wire. They have a passive stuncounter in one or two of their traits.

I have a ranger and im aware of the traits they have which can counter stuns/cc. One which stleaths you and another which gives stability if im not mistaken. But wire still fails on a some rangers which dont have these traits setup.
Scorpion wire fails on ragers, because they are surrounded by their petting zoo, and you might pull a pet instead. The safest way is to steal a skull from necro, enter stealth, break a glass and fear them toward the pit.
Most of the time I manage to target the ranger, unless its a spirit build and in that case I dont even try to scorpion wire.
Somehow my pulls almost always work when I headshot them first. No idea why.
