I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

Supposing you had most of a set of medium settler’s armor (high toughness + healing/condition damage), what sort of build might you try out to leverage these stats?
P/D roaming thief. You wouldn’t be that effective, considering your damage is relatively kitten, but you’d sure live for a long time.
you could use venoms and leech life when triggering them. the regeneration you can get access to as a thief is insane. and p/d and sb are great at throwing conditions at people.
Thanks, that’s definitely giving me ideas for a truly annoying build
The good old “Leaping Super Immortal Death Troll Legendary Unicorn Blossom” by Lowell, kitten long name, that’s why I quote it.

Grab a pair of Shaman daggers you will be fine with HP.
Spin to win, dodge to troll.
I run p/d in WvW with settlers armor and reyna’s armor with ascended rings/back/neck. Completely unkillable and can take minimum 3 people at once assuming they stick around and are not organized. The best I’ve done was fight a commander for ~15 mins and killed EVERYONE who kept coming to his tag.
I sank a few gold and grabbed a full set of settler armor + 2 settler’s daggers. I’m eager to try this beast out .
keep us posted on how you get on :-)
I tried with a 0/0/30/20/20 setup. Mostly settler with some shaman for good hp.
Very easy to play, very hard to die and if they stick around you will kill everything.
But as bleed is the only real condition you have, you better avoid properly traited thieves (5% of thief pop) and good guardians and eles (<5%pop).
As every build, you will destroy newbs and zerglings. Once I dropped caltrops into a hostile shadow refuge, resulting in 3 downed thieves and the warrior they were ressing to my feet.
For better dps run it with thieves guild.
You can heavily troll everybody. Specially if played with withdraw and rolling for initiative.

I bought all the gear, but I actually needed to level up the thief . The class has long been simply the hardest for me to get, but even in in its infancy I’m really starting to like this build!
I run an apothecary thief sometimes when I don’t want to die ever.
Just wanted to update that my Thief hit 80 and is now loaded up in full settler’s armor/undead runes and heading out to do some WvW. Wish me luck!
Ok, I got taken to school big time by a thief with a vanish-all-day-long build (by all 6 gods that’s infuriating – but I’ll learn how to counter it better) but outside of that…
Its a brute. A bone crushing, unstoppable brute. I’m soloing camps pretty easily and I’m learning the pacing of my skills to use the ones that generate massive self healing once I’ve actually taken some damage.
Still mastering the little bit of stealth gameplay it does have, but as a blunt instrument it’s impressive.
How much HP do you have with settler’s armor?
I use carrion (vit/pow vs tough/hp, both have CD)
I wonder if people have a view in WvW whether they’d rather have toughness or Vit ? I would imagine Vit but you can remove conditions pretty easily.
Base health, basically, unless you have some non-settler items.
P/D should be quite unstoppable with this. Could mix in some Carrion for more damage, Shaman’s for more HP
